Bank Holiday: Banks to remain closed for 4 days next week

Holi Festival begins next week, which means banks will be closed in many states. Be sure to mark down all important bank-related work you need to finish so you can check the holidays for your state. 

What days will the banks be closed? 

March 13 (Thursday): Due to Holika Dahan and Attukal Pongala, banks will be closed in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, and Kerala. 

March 14 (Friday): For Holi, (Dhuleti/Dhulandi/Dol Jatra), banks will be closed in most states. 

March 15 (Saturday): Holi will be celebrated by some states, so banks will be closed in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Imphal, and Patna. 

March 16 (Sunday): Weekly Holiday so banks will be closed for everyone. 

Which other holidays are in March? 

March 8 (Second Saturday) and March 9 (Sunday): Weekly Holiday 

March 22 (Fourth Saturday) and March 23 (Sunday): Weekly Holidays and Bihar Day. 

March 27 (Thursday): Shab-E-Qadr (Closed in Jammu) 

March 28 (Friday): Jumat-Ul-Vida (Closed in Jammu and Kashmir) 

March 30 (Sunday): Weekly Holiday 

March 31 (Monday): Ramzan-Eid (Eid-Ul-Fitr) - most of the states are closed.

Even on bank holidays, customers will still be able to transact through Online banking Services, which will remain available.

Customers can access services like credit cards, debit cards, and ATM cards through other forms. Funds can be transferred through the NEFT/RTGS fund transfer, cheque, and demand draft request forms. 

As well as this, customers will also be able to avail services related to account maintenance, setting standing instructions, and applying for a locker online.
