According to religious beliefs, Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra, and his sister Subhadra developed high fevers and became unwell due to excessive bathing during the intense heat of Jyeshtha. Seclusion (Anavasar): After falling ill, the deity is taken to a special room in the temple for seclusion (Anavasar). Darshan Prohibition: Devotees do not get direct darshan of Mahaprabhu for the next 15 days. Medicinal Treatment: During these 15 days, the temple physicians offer special decoctions and medicines to the Lord. Navayovan Darshan and Rath Yatra: After the completion of treatment, the Lord appears before devotees in his fully recovered form in his "Navayovan Swarup." This will be followed by a grand Rath Yatra on Ashadha Shukla Dwitiya (the second day of the bright fortnight of the month of Ashadha), during which the Lord will embark on a city tour and visit his aunt's home (Gundicha Temple).Special things about Dev Snan Festival Mahaprabhu is given a royal bath with the sacred and fragrant water of 108 pots. The Abhishekam consists of Ganga water, Panchamrit, sandalwood, Ashwagandha, Dab water and fruit juice. After the bath, 56 offerings are made to Mahaprabhu. After the Mahasnan , there is an occasion for 15 days , during which direct darshan is closed. After the end of Anavasar , Navayuvan Darshan takes place and then a grand Rath Yatra is organised.
