Actor Abhinav Shukla, a familiar face in the television industry, recently disclosed that he has fallen victim to a sophisticated identity theft scam. In a video shared on his Instagram account, Shukla detailed how fraudsters used his PAN card details to secure multiple loans in his name. The actor, who is married to actress Rubina Dilaik, decided to share his ordeal to raise awareness and caution his followers.Shukla explained that the fraud came to light when he applied for his first-ever loan. To his astonishment, his CIBIL report revealed that six different loans had already been taken out using his identity. The scammers had created fake email addresses and used various phone numbers and addresses to carry out the fraud with his PAN card.While his personal bank account was not compromised, the fraudulent loans have negatively impacted his CIBIL score, preventing him from obtaining the loan he genuinely needs. Shukla lamented the long and arduous process he now faces to rectify the situation, which involves filing a police complaint (FIR) and corresponding with CIBIL authorities.He strongly advised everyone, especially those who have nevertaken a loan or used a credit card, to regularly check their CIBIL score. He warned that such scams could be happening silently without the victim's knowledge. On the professional front, Shukla has been a part of popular reality shows like 'Bigg Boss 14' andKhatron Ke Khiladi 11', and recently won 'Pati Patni Aur Panga' with his wife, Rubina Dilaik.
