ADA Secures ₹200-Crore SBI Loan for Mega Township, Allotment Starts December

Fulfilling the housing aspirations of thousands of prospective homeowners across eastern Uttar Pradesh, the Azamgarh Development Authority (ADA) is gearing up to launch an extensive residential plotting scheme along the prominent Azamgarh-Varanasi highway corridor. Backed by the state government's flagship Chief Minister's Urban Expansion and New City Promotion Scheme, the development authority has secured a critical ₹200-crore loan approval from the State Bank of India (SBI). The financial infusion clears all monetary bottlenecks for land procurement, enabling the urban planning body to execute large-scale land acquisitions and begin transparent public plot allotments starting this December.Kotila Land Acquisition Accelerates: 70 Hectares Earmarked for Modern Urban TownshipThe planned township project encompasses an expansive acquisition target of 70.2992 hectares situated strategically near Kotila on the Azamgarh-Varanasi Road. The development authority had previously acquired 14.6191 hectares by utilizing ₹99.91 crore from an initial ₹100-crore state budgetary grant. To procure the remaining balance of 55.6801 hectares directly from local agrarian landholders, ADA approached SBI for capital financing, which has now received formal clearance. With the credit facility secured, administrative teams are rolling out expedited land purchase registries to ensure farmers receive prompt compensation before physical possession transfers to the development body.Phase One Execution Underway: RERA Registration and Layout Approvals Prior to December AllotmentThe development authority has prioritized the execution of the project's first phase, spanning 20.9391 hectares, where the agency already holds absolute possession of 12.8888 hectares. The procurement of the balance 8.0503 hectares is being expedited on a mission-mode timeline to consolidate contiguous parcels. Once complete ownership is officially vested with the authority, the town planning wing will finalize the mandatory land-use conversion protocols and sanction the comprehensive architectural layout plan. The scheme will then be submitted for statutory registration with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) to secure marketing clearance, paving the way for public application forms and transparent allotment lotteries by mid-December.
