New Delhi: Airtel has unveiled a more appealing prepaid recharge plan meant to suit the needs of its customer base. With the new plan coming at a cost of only 1 rupee more than the old one, it now offers unlimited calling, unlimited 5G across all telecom circles in the country, and an additional 14 GB of high speed data over the old offer. The new Rs 399 recharge plan comes with a validity of 28 days. Subscribers will be able to make unlimited voice calls with free national roaming (except for Jammu and Kashmir). Subscribers will now benefit from a daily data cap of 2.5 GB of high speed data, as well as 100 free SMS messages per day and a complimentary 28 day subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. This plan is a substantial enhancement over Airtel Rs 398 plan, which provided unlimited calling, free national roaming, 2 GB of daily data, and 100 SMS daily. The plan also provided an unlimited 5G connection and a subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. The minimal Rs 1 increase to Rs 399 grants users an additional 0.5 GB of data each day, which over the 28 day validity period, adds up to an additional 14 GB of data.Airtel’s approaches its strategic goals while also expanding its network and growing its user base which now stands at over 360 million according to latest figures shared by TRAI. This data directly contrasts the data coming from VI and BSNL who together saw a steady decline of more than 2 lakh subscribers in just the month of May with BSNL losing over 135 thousand subscribers and Vi losing over 274 thousand subscribers.
