Doing so breaks Tulsi's fast for Lord Vishnu, angering both Tulsi Mata and Lord Vishnu.Don't keep dried basil: Before Ekadashi, respectfully immerse dried basil in a river or body of water. Keeping dried basil in the house brings inauspicious results.Consuming Tamasic Foods: Do not consume or bring Tamasic foods into the home on Ekadashi. Doing so destroys the blessings of the home.
