BCCL CMD inspected Kusunda siding, stressed on increasing coal dispatch

In response to the rapidly growing energy demands of thermal power plants across the country, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) has stepped up operational efforts to accelerate fuel supply. During a high-level field inspection at the Kusunda rail siding in Dhanbad, BCCL Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Manoj Agarwal instructed officials and administrative staff to focus aggressively on maximizing both coal production and quality dispatch. With national power requirements mounting, BCCL has been tasked with an ambitious company-wide target of dispatching 22 to 25 rakes of coal daily, making regional optimization critical to meeting national energy needs.Direct Directives to Double Daily Rake Operations and Streamline Transporter CollaborationReviewing ground-level performance at Kusunda, CMD Manoj Agarwal directed the area team to immediately double its output capacity—scaling up from dispatching a single rake per day to loading and dispatching at least two rakes daily. To eliminate logistical bottlenecks, the CMD held direct, interactive discussions with local coal transporters at the siding. He urged transport partners to expand their fleet sizes, optimize vehicle turnaround times, and take comprehensive steps to streamline the supply chain.
