Bihar Government Doubles Pay for School Support Staff Ahead of Elections

Salary Hike: An important step has been the strengthening of the education system in the state of Bihar. This has been made possible with the courtesy of the Social Welfare and Education Departments. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, through his tweets, has confirmed the increment in the honorarium of the cooks and instructors working under the midday meal program as well as the honorarium of the cook. This is a step towards the Bihar education system. During this period, the education system has also been extensively developed due to the recruitment of many teachers, new school building construction and infrastructure development.Governor: Patna: Bihar has also acknowledged the cooks of midday meal instructors, night watchers and health and physical education teachers as a vital part in the sustenance of the education system rigor with instructors and health physical exercise.In order to appreciate and recognize this contribution towards education, a special financial reward has been given in the form of a rise in honorarium.Cooks’ honorarium has also been raised to double the previous form of 1650 to 3300.monthly honorarium of cooks. Honorarium of night guards has also seen a raise of 5000 to 10000. Honorarium of primary physical education and health instructors was previously 8000 and has been raised to 16000, effectively being raised to double.Also, the annual pay raise of these employees has also been changed from ₹200 to ₹400. The Chief Minister remarked that this decision will raise the morale of these workers and they will be more inclined to carry out their responsibilities with enthusiasm, loyalty and dedication.
