Foods like samosas, kachoris, pakodas, and chips will be substituted with more healthy options.According to the data, obesity is an enormous problem that children in India face. In 2021, 18 crore people were classified as overweight, a number that is projected to reach 44.9 crores by 2050. This is a concerning statistic and the Board is trying to combat this trend through their initiative. A healthy environment is essential in school and the proper adoption of rules and guidelines corresponding to this initiative will be expected in all schools. A school’s approach permeate modify as school’s see fit.How will the oil board work?The board is going to create awareness of health damaging habits and behaviors in schools. Oil board displays will be put up in cafeterias, lobbies and other areas of the school like snack and lunch rooms.
