Former Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has initiated a significant legal battle against her Austrian husband Peter Haag by filing a formal case of domestic violence in a Mumbai court.The prominent film personality has approached the Judicial Magistrate First Class in Andheri alleging that she was subjected to severe mental physical and verbal abuse during her marriage to the hotelier. In her petition Celina Jaitly has demanded a compensation of fifty crore rupees citing the loss of her personal property and income sources due to the restrictions placed upon her during the relationship.The court has taken cognizance of her complaint and issued a notice to Peter Haag requiring him to respond to the serious allegations regarding cruelty and manipulation. Sources close to the legal proceedings reveal that the actress has also sought a monthly maintenance of ten lakh rupees and has petitioned for access to her three children who currently reside with their father in Austria. The plea describes Peter Haag as a narcissistic individual with temper issues and alcoholic tendencies which allegedly created a hostile environment forcing Celina to flee their home in Austria and return to India. The matter which is being handled by the renowned legal firm Karanjawala and Company is scheduled for a further hearing in December where the response from her husband will be recorded. This development has shocked many fans who followed their journey since their wedding in 2011 as the actress fights for her dignity and the custody of her children amidst this bitter separation.
