Chhattisgarh Global Economic Vision: CM Vishnu Dev Sai Pitches Rs 8 Lakh Crore in Investments at World Leaders Forum

Addressing global leaders, policymakers, and industry stalwarts at the prestigious World Leaders Forum in New Delhi, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai outlined a transformative vision for the state's economic future. Showcasing an impressive economic growth rate of 11.57 percent and an expanding state economy reaching ₹6.31 lakh crore for 2025-26, the Chief Minister announced that Chhattisgarh has successfully attracted over Rs 8 lakh crore in new investment proposals following the rollout of its progressive industrial policies. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi, global diplomats, and international leaders in attendance, CM Sai emphasized that the state is shifting rapidly from a traditional mineral-based identity to an innovation-driven economy centered on youth power, artificial intelligence, and green energy.Driving Industrial Reforms and Ease of Doing BusinessThe state's remarkable surge in investor confidence is directly linked to major policy overhauls, including the Industrial Development Policy 2024-30 and the One Click Single Window System 2.0. With over 450 regulatory procedures simplified, the newly introduced Ease of Doing Business Act ensures streamlined approvals—featuring automatic clearances for low-risk industries if decisions are delayed. This transparent framework has unlocked massive opportunities across traditional sectors like steel and cement, alongside sunrise industries such as semiconductors, electronics, artificial intelligence, data centers, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and lithium-based energy storage.Empowering Youth Through Startups and Artificial IntelligencePlacing youth at the core of the state's development model, the government has set an ambitious target of nurturing 5,000 startups by 2030, backed by seed funding of up to ₹10 lakh per venture to convert innovative ideas into thriving enterprises. Furthermore, Chhattisgarh is pioneering technological integration through a ₹500 crore State AI Mission. This initiative includes providing AI training to 600,000 students and 150,000 government employees, launching over 50 AI-based citizen services, establishing 100 AI data labs, and developing a state-of-the-art AI Data Center Park in Naya Raipur with an investment of ₹1,000 crore.Transforming Bastar and Transitioning to Green EnergyHighlighting inclusive regional growth, CM Sai pointed to the remarkable transformation of Bastar, where improved security has paved the way for a ₹4,824 crore livelihood improvement plan, the reopening of 421 schools, digital health profiles for millions, and the strategic Jagdalpur-Raoghat rail project. Concurrently, Chhattisgarh is accelerating its green energy transition by aiming for 4,000 MW of new solar capacity, installing floating solar plants, and expanding infrastructure for sustainable development. Through a balanced focus on value addition, modern digital connectivity, and robust social welfare, Chhattisgarh is rapidly cementing its status as India's premier industrial and technological powerhouse.
