Child trafficking gang busted in Delhi; Police tracing parents of the newborns

Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : A manhunt has been launched for the biological parents of five newborns that were rescued from the clutches of a child trafficking gang in Delhi by the Central District Police. Meanwhile, on the basis of interrogation of all 13 arrested accused persons, the police team is on a hunt to find the original parents of these newborns from Rajasthan and Gujarat to arrest them too.Investigations are on to unearth the involvement of other persons in the crime. The rescued newborn was produced before the child welfare committee, and accordingly, steps are being taken to provide care, protection and rehabilitation of the newborn. According to police officials, the gang has been engaged in the business of new-born trafficking for the past nearly two years. They used to purchase infants ranging between 2 days to 20 days from the sellers immediately after buying it to their customers in Delhi NCR and adjacent states. She became the link between the hospital and gang - On the basis of interrogation, police suspect these individuals might have sold about 40 new-borns. Police have now revealed that the gang leader Sayabhai Ghamar alias Kalia had met Pratibha a lab technician of Hira hospital some time back and thereafter they had started purchasing and selling new-borns. Pratibha became a bridge between the hospital and the gang. She had previously faced a smuggling case registered at IGI Airport police station. Pratibha had roped in the owner of the hospital Dr Viveki in her plot. Kalia would purchase newborn and handed it over directly to Pratibha in the hospital, and she used to immediately strike a deal withJyoti and others. According to police, they are now trying to figure out how the money was distributed among the involved persons.
