Lucknow/Greater Noida, September 20.Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and former Vice President Hamid Ansari. Without naming Rahul Gandhi, he referred to him as the ‘Congress scion’ and said, "The manner of conduct he displayed amid the echo of his lies was an insult to women’s power as a whole. The country should stop expecting anything from such people. These are misguided and directionless people whose objective is to create confusion in society and spread disorder and anarchy."On Sunday, addressing the concluding ceremony of the two-day ‘Prerna Vimarsh-2026’ in Greater Noida, Chief Minister Yogi described former Vice President Hamid Ansari’s statement as unfortunate and frightening. He said, "A person who has held an important constitutional position is expected to conduct himself in accordance with the dignity of the office. Had he understood India’s equal vision, he would not have criticized India, Indianness and the Hindu perspective."Referring to women’s empowerment, employment for youth, startups and the state’s economy, the Chief Minister said Uttar Pradesh, once described as a BIMARU state, has now become a revenue surplus state and the country's growth engine.The Chief Minister stated, "Protecting women’s dignity and women’s empowerment cannot be achieved through speeches alone. The government has prioritized women in its schemes. Across the country, Gharoni has given ownership rights to houses to 3 crore families, with the first right given to women. The government has provided LPG connections to 12 crore families and toilet facilities to 12 crore households. In Uttar Pradesh, 54,000 Banking Correspondent Sakhis are providing banking services in villages."He cited the Balinee Milk Producer Company in Jhansi, which started with five women in 2019 and now has 62,000 women associated with it. Its turnover is Rs 115 crore, and each woman earns Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 per month. Milk producer groups are also working in Agra, Kashi, Gorakhpur and Lucknow. Around four lakh women are associated with these groups.He said that in 2017, there were only 10,000 women in the UP Police, while their number has now increased to 44,000. This figure will cross 50,000 in the next three to four months. Women's participation in the state’s workforce has also increased from 12 percent to 36-37 percent. Under the new Digital Entrepreneurship scheme, women entrepreneurs will be connected and trained in 4,000 of the 8,000 Nyaya Panchayats.The Chief Minister said, "Uttar Pradesh has the largest youth population in India, and 56 percent of the state’s population comprises youth. Over the past nine and a half years, the government has provided government jobs to 9.5 lakh youth. Around 3.25 crore youth are working in 96 lakh MSME units. Due to better security arrangements, the state has received investment proposals worth Rs 50 lakh crore. Of these, investment worth more than Rs 15 lakh crore has been realized on the ground, providing employment to more than 65 lakh youth."He informed that before 2017, there were fewer than 120 startups in Uttar Pradesh, whereas their number has now crossed 24,000. Around half of these are being run by women. Referring to Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Thakur Roshan Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Veer Savarkar, he called upon the youth to draw inspiration from national heroes.The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi puts the nation first. If the country is secure, religion, modes of worship, caste, family and individuals are also secure. Women's and youth self-reliance will become the foundation of self-reliance for Uttar Pradesh and India.CM Yogi said, "The economy, per capita income and budget of Uttar Pradesh have tripled. Uttar Pradesh, once described as a BIMARU state under previous governments, is now a revenue-surplus state and the country's growth engine. The state no longer faces an identity crisis. This change has come through respect for heritage and a policy of zero tolerance against crime and corruption."Targeting the opposition, he said that those who had earlier created a crisis of identity for Uttar Pradesh now want to bring back the era of riots, curfews, dividing society, discrimination, disorder and anarchy.Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The program screened a video showcasing the ideological journey of ‘Keshav Samvad’ and ‘Prerna Vichar’, and presented copies of both magazines to the Chief Minister. Another video presented the changing picture of the state’s women and youth.The program was attended by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Akhil Bharatiya Pracharak Pramukh Swant Ranjan, Gautam Buddha University Vice Chancellor Prof. Rana Pratap Singh, Prerna Vimarsh Working President VK Gupta, President Anil Tyagi, Dr. Manmohan Singh Sisodia, Prerna Research Institute President Preeti Dadu, Secretary Monica Chauhan, Sansad TV Editor Shyam Kishore, public representatives from Gautam Buddha Nagar, and volunteers.
