Delhi-Haridwar Express to Stop at Rohana Kalan Station From September 11: Local Residents Rejoice Over Direct Rail Connectivity

The residents of Muzaffarnagar's Rohana Kalan region are celebrating a major infrastructure milestone as the Railway Headquarters in New Delhi officially greenlit the stoppage of the Delhi-Haridwar Express at the local Rohana Kalan railway station, effective September 11. Located within the Purkaji assembly constituency just 16 kilometers from the district headquarters, Rohana Kalan previously relied on slower transit options or travel back to the main city. While driving from the district headquarters to Rohana typically takes up to 30 minutes, the train journey cuts transit time down to a swift 10 minutes, providing a massive convenience boost for daily commuters, students, and local business owners.Administrative Efforts and Official Approval ProcessThe successful sanctioning of the express train halt is the culmination of prolonged community advocacy and persistent administrative lobbying. Cabinet Minister Anil Kumar previously submitted a formal representation to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, requesting the restoration of passenger services at the station—which previously operated as the Delhi-Haridwar Passenger prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the Railway Minister's initial approval on July 15 and subsequent processing by the Railway Board, the final operational directive was issued from headquarters on September 8, paving the way for the historic first stop. Local leaders, including Rohana Sugarcane Committee Chairman Anil Tyagi, BJP leader Shivank Tyagi, Mandal General Secretary Rahul Upadhyay, and social worker Dushyant Tyagi, lauded the decision as a transformative development that will deeply benefit more than a dozen surrounding villages.Updated Train Timings and Schedule DetailsAccording to the official railway timetable released by Station Superintendent Ashish Kumar, the Delhi-Haridwar Express (Train No. 14303) departing daily from Old Delhi Junction at 5:45 PM will reach Muzaffarnagar Railway Station at 8:11 PM and arrive at Rohana Railway Station at 8:23 PM. In the reverse direction, the Delhi-Haridwar Express (Train No. 14304) originating from Haridwar Junction will depart for Delhi at 9:00 AM, arriving at Rohana Kalan at 11:34 AM before heading onward to Muzaffarnagar by 11:45 AM. This seamless connectivity ensures that local youth, farmers, and traders gain direct, efficient access to both the national capital and the holy city of Haridwar.
