Direct Electric Bus Service from Rewari to Rajasthan: Roadways Launches Trial Route to Ghiloth Industrial Area

In a major relief for daily commuters, office workers, and industrial employees, the local roadways depot in Rewari is launching a direct electric bus service connecting Rewari to the bustling Ghiloth Industrial Area in neighboring Rajasthan. Following the successful completion of initial route surveys, the transport department is gearing up to roll out clean, affordable, and safe public transit for thousands of travelers who commute across the state border daily.One-Month Trial Run and Passenger ResponseTo test the feasibility and demand for the route, roadways officials have announced a one-month trial period. Initially, a single electric bus will operate on the Rewari-Ghiloth route, during which passenger ridership, punctuality, and overall response will be closely monitored.According to transport authorities, if the trial yields a strong positive response and meets ridership expectations, additional electric buses allocated to the depot will be deployed on this corridor. Conversely, if passenger turnout remains low, the route layout may be reviewed. Commuters and local villagers are expected to benefit immensely from affordable fares and reliable schedules once the official timetable is released.Expanding Clean Transportation and Reducing Diesel DependenceThe introduction of the Ghiloth service aligns with the broader state objective of promoting green mobility and cutting carbon emissions. The transport headquarters has sanctioned a total of 50 electric buses for the Rewari depot, of which five are already actively operating on routes to the Bawal Industrial Area.The existing Bawal electric bus service has witnessed robust passenger turnout and generated substantial revenue for the roadways department. Transport officials remain optimistic that replicating this success in Ghiloth will not only boost departmental revenue but also provide a seamless, pollution-free commuting alternative for the region's workforce.
