Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya stated that Diwali is a sacred festival of faith, reverence, and joy, commemorating the return of Lord Shri Ram to Ayodhya after his fourteen-year exile and his subsequent coronation. This festival inspires us to embody the ideals of righteousness (*maryada*), sacrifice, devotion to duty, and public welfare in our own lives.Shri Maurya remarked that Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, truth over falsehood, and righteousness (*dharma*) over unrighteousness (*adharma*). It is only by embracing his ideals that a harmonious, strong, and prosperous society can be built. The Deputy Chief Minister prayed to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Shri Ganesh that, through their blessings, every household in the nation and the state may be graced with happiness, prosperity, good health, and well-being.
