
Lucknow, July 30: In a major step towards economically empowering and making persons with disabilities self-reliant, the Yogi government will organise 'Divyangjan Rojgar Abhiyan 3.0' across Uttar Pradesh from August 3 to 10, 2026.Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal, said, "Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, connecting persons with disabilities to dignified livelihood opportunities remains a key priority of the government. This special initiative of the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission aims to provide employment and self-employment opportunities to skilled persons with disabilities, as well as other eligible and interested disabled youth, in accordance with their qualifications and skills."During the campaign, special employment activities will be organised at all Government ITIs across the state. Along with employment opportunities, candidates with disabilities will also be provided information about various self-employment schemes.District Industries and Export Promotion Centres will coordinate with industrial units and business establishments to identify job vacancies, while the MSME Department will facilitate self-employment schemes and extend financial assistance through Lead Banks.District Disability Empowerment Officers and District Employment Assistance Officers will connect registered candidates on the Rojgar Sangam Portal with available job vacancies.A key feature of the campaign will be the physical verification of beneficiaries from the previous two phases to assess their current employment and livelihood status.The Yogi government is committed to ensuring that no person with a disability is deprived of employment opportunities.Extensive awareness campaigns are being conducted across the state to maximize participation. A district-level committee, headed by the Chief Development Officer (CDO), has been constituted in every district to oversee and coordinate the campaign.By August 10, all districts will submit details of beneficiaries to the state government. The District Magistrates and their teams from the top five districts that generate the highest number of employment and self-employment opportunities will be honoured with certificates of appreciation by the state government.In preparation for the campaign, Mission Director Pulkit Khare held an online meeting with all CDOs and concerned officials on July 30, issuing the necessary guidelines for its effective implementation.
