Former India cricketer Manoj Tiwary stood up and talked about the exceptional show by ace India pacer Arshdeep Singh in the 2nd ODI match against Afghanistan as India won the match by 170 runs. The match was part of the bilateral series played in India. The Indian team produced an outstanding performance in the second ODI of the ongoing bilateral series against Afghanistan. Both sides locked horns on June 16 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, and the Indian team posted a massive 402 runs in the first innings, bundling out Afghanistan to a mere 232 and thus, winning the match by a massive 170 runs. There were numerous outstanding performances in the match. As openers Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan achieved their respective centuries in the first innings, many eyes were also drawn towards the remarkable spell by ace pacer Arshdeep Singh. He bowled his heart out, bowling 9 overs, conceding just 45 runs to his name and picking up three brilliant wickets to seal the victory for his team. Following the conclusion of the match, former India cricketer Manoj Tiwary came forward and congratulated the pacer on his spectacular comeback after a rather uninspiring IPL season and finding his lost rhythm. “IPL is just entertainment cricket, to be honest with you. The format is T20, but it is just full-on entertainment, where things are set up for batters and bowlers only get hit. So you cannot compare and judge performances from there. As soon as he switches to India jersey from IPL, he’s a different player. We have seen that in T20Is, he has a better numbers of striking in the first over than Jasprit Bumrah,” Manoj Tiwary explained during an interaction on Cricbuzz. India to take on Afghanistan in the third ODI at Chennai With two victories in the first two ODI games so far in the bilateral series against Afghanistan, the Indian team has already sealed the series and now is all geared up to complete the clean sweep. Both the teams will lock horns in the third ODI of the series at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on June 20th. The bilateral series has been dominated by the Indian team. It will be interesting to see how Afghanistan players will be coping with the loss in the back-to-back ODI games against the Men in Blue. The Men in Blue will once again look forward to a brilliant display of performance as the teams meet in Chennai. While India eyes for a clean sweep, the Afghanistan team will strive for a consolation victory in the final match of the bilateral series.
