The authority has released a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) to appoint a specialized consultancy firm tasked with developing the Right-of-Way (ROW), redesigning major intersections, and preparing a comprehensive Detailed Project Report (DPR). This modern redevelopment aims to streamline traffic movement between Rajiv Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, and the Gurugram Railway Station, offering massive relief to thousands of daily commuters.Clearing Encroachments And Modernizing Heavy Traffic Corridors Across Old City HubsConnecting key commercial hubs like Sadar Bazaar and Sector 4-7 Chowk with the railway station, both Old and New Railway Roads currently face severe daily gridlocks due to illegal parking, unregulated street vendors, and narrow transit lanes. Under the newly issued RFP, the designated consultancy will focus on developing the complete ROW stretch from Rajiv Chowk to the railway station on Old Railway Road, as well as the corridor from Mahavir Chowk to Sector 4-7 Chowk on New Railway Road. Redesigning key junctions along these stretches will eliminate chronic bottleneck spots and significantly elevate commuter safety.World-Class Urban Features: Pedestrian Footpaths, Modern Drainage, And Smart Traffic ManagementThe upcoming Detailed Project Report will establish blueprint designs for road widening, dedicated pedestrian sidewalks, upgraded storm drainage systems, organized parking zones, and advanced traffic control measures.
