In a massive healthcare breakthrough for southern Haryana, the Sub-Divisional Hospital (SDH) in Mahendragarh is undergoing a complete modern transformation with an approved revised budget of ₹68.47 crore. Spanning a sprawling 9.50-acre campus, the upcoming 100-bed healthcare facility will feature a state-of-the-art six-story structure, including a comprehensive basement level, divided across two dedicated blocks. Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao confirmed that the revised financial allocation received official clearance on September 2, ensuring advanced medical care—including specialized outpatient departments (OPD), inpatient wards (IPD), modern labor rooms, intensive care units (ICU), 24/7 trauma emergency wings, and cutting-edge radiological diagnostics—will be fully operational and dedicated to the public within the next two years.Surging OPD Footfall and Rapid Structural MilestonesThe expansion project addresses an overwhelming surge in public reliance on the regional healthcare system, with the existing Mahendragarh facility registering over 100,000 OPD patients so far this year and sustaining an extraordinary 97 percent bed occupancy rate supported by over 160 round-the-clock medical professionals. Structural civil works for the main facility and emergency blocks have largely wrapped up, paving the way for the immediate floatation of remaining interior, mechanical, and medical equipment tenders. The upgraded infrastructure will drastically curb the need for local residents to travel to distant metro cities for tertiary critical care.Modern ₹19.97 Crore Community Health Centre for SatnaliParallel to the sub-divisional hub, a modern three-story Community Health Centre (CHC) is being rapidly erected in Satnali with a revised sanction of ₹19.97 crore to cater to a rural population exceeding 1.35 lakh. Over 70 percent of the structural framework is already complete, with construction work progressing at an accelerated pace since late July. While temporary patient operations continue smoothly from the nearby Kisan Bhawan, the new complex incorporates dedicated residential quarters for medical officers and nursing staff to sustain uninterrupted emergency cover, bundling maternal-child care, adolescent health, family planning, and non-communicable disease screenings seamlessly under one roof.
