Honda is soon coming out with an update to its sedan-Honda City facelift and will also launch the same in the Indian market soon, so this car will come with few significant changes to its styling. Inspired from the Honda Prelude, the automaker is expected to launch it on 22nd May. It's anticipated that apart from cosmetic changes both inside and out, nothing will change mechanically about the City.Honda City facelift is set to be launchedWith design inspired by the Honda Prelude, the sedan is expected to look more wider, slim led lights, altered grille and bumper as well. The design would be much sportier than the existing City which is more on the conventionally looking sedan.It would come with a host of powerful featuresApart from the styling updates on the outside, the rear of the sedan would get altered styling elements as well as new design of alloy wheels to differentiate the same from the existing model. Reports suggest that the sedan would possibly come with larger touchscreen system, altered dashboard layout, changed central console etc. The instrument cluster is expected to remain the same, however. Rest of the dashboard is expected to wear a new design.No changes in engine will occurIt is expected to get more new features but the engine is still supposed to remain unchanged. Some of the premium features expected are the 360-degree camera system, power operated driver seat. Mechanically, it's expected that the same 1.5-litre petrol engine powering the current City line up, would power this sedan as well and same is expected with transmission choices as well, both manual and CVT gearbox are expected to be carried forward.New and sporty styling changesThe redesigned City facelift would boast of new and sporty styling changes along with more new features to go along with its tried and tested engine, in this regard Honda will be able to position the City as a sportier as well as feature rich car that is set to give its other competitors a tough fight in the midsize sedan segment.
