Immediate School Closures Announced for August 1-2 Due to Orders
Schoools Holiday Update 2025: There's good news for school students in Rajasthan. The holiday period for students of many districts has been further extended due to heavy rains. In some districts, schools will remain closed until August 1 and in others, till August 2. Since August 3 is a Sunday, schools will resume on August 4. Moreover, students will enjoy long breaks in August due to Rakshabandhan, August 15, and Janmashtami, in addition to Sundays. There's also the possibility of a long weekend from August 15 to 17 for some students.Holidays extended for these districts in Rajasthan:Sri Ganganagar: In Sri Ganganagar, holiday is declared due to rains on the 1st of August, 2025 for all the students of Anganwadi, Stage1 Kindergarten, Stage 2 Kindergarten, Stage 3 Kindergarten, Primary, Middle and High Schools in Private, Government, and Non-Government Schools.Bikaner: In Bikaner, schools are closed on the 1st and 2nd of August due to the forecast of heavy rain.Hanumangarh: The District Collector Dr. Khushal Yadav, upon the recommendation of the District Chief Education Officer, declared a public school holiday on the 1st of August for all private and government schools and Anganwadi centers.Alwar, Kota, Dholpur, Bharatpur: Considering the incessant rain in the district, a holiday has been declared on August 1 for all the Anganwadis, private and government schools, as well as nongovernment schools in the district. Jhunjhunu, Nagaur: All non governmental and governmental schools and coaching centers will remain closed on 1st and 2nd August for all the students. Baran, Jhalawar, Didwana Kuchaman: Considering the continuous rainfall in the district, holiday has been granted for all 1st to 12th grade students attending schools until August 2. Sawai Madhopur: Considering the impending forecast of heavy rainfall in the district, students in class 1 to 12 will have a holiday on August 1 and 2 for all schools and Anganwadi centers. Bundi: Considering the everyday rainfall in the district, students from class 1 to 12 will have holiday until August 2 in private and government schools in the district. Behror: Considering the pending forecast of heavy rainfall in the district, the District Collector has announced holiday on 1 and 2 August 2 in all Anganwadi centers, as well as in all governmental and non governmental schools from class 1 to 12 in the district.Which days in August will the school be closed?On the 3rd of August 2025, it will be a Sunday.Also, the 9th of August 2025 is the second Saturday of the month, and it is also the day of Raksha Bandhan.August will also see the 10th which is a Sunday and the 15th will be celebrated as Independence day, so the school will remain closed.The 16th marks the 3rd Sunday of the month, as well as Janmashtami so school will remain closed. Following which, the 17th is a Sunday.Then the 23rd will be the 4th Saturday, and 24 will also be a Sunday.The 26th marks onam, then 27 marks Wednesday followed by the 27th as Ganesh Chaturthi. Finally, the month will be closed of with the 31st as a Sunday.
