Dhiraj Bommadevara and Kumkum Mohod won the title against Oh Yejin and Kim Je Deok in a thrilling battle as they clinched the gold medal by out-shooting their opponents at key moments. The two sets of archery was 37-36, 37-36 before the pairs finished 39-39 in the final set to give the gold to India.India took gold at 5-1 in the sets and they had maintained consistent scores throughout the event and would have only really missed a single arrow to drop any points early on. South Korea also maintained strong scores throughout but India was able to get ahead during crucial times to win the contest. Dhiraj's final two shots ensured he finished the match with two tens.First World Cup mixed team gold medal win:The two archers have both now won gold medals at this stage in the recurve mixed team event and this is a first time in a World Cup for both athletes. This achievement by Dhiraj who is currently the top Indian archer comes as the men's individual semifinalists look forward to the men's individual competition which also takes place.Kumkum, meanwhile, is continuing to improve rapidly on the international stage and only recently she had already received success earlier in the season by winning gold in the women's recurve team event at the Shanghai World Cup Stage 2.The medal is India's second recurve mixed team gold at a World Cup event stage after they last won the title in 2022 by Ridhi Phor and Tarundeep Rai in the same location in Antalya.
