This top offer came from the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector, which has consistently been a top payer at the instituteThe average salary for the batch also saw an increase, settling at around₹35.5 lakh per annum, with the median salary at approximately₹34.6 lakh per annumConsulting continued to be the most popular career choice for graduates, with a whopping 156 students accepting offers in this field.Leading the charge were some of the biggest names in the industry. Boston Consulting Group (BCG) was the top recruiter, making 35 offers, closely followed by Accenture Strategy with 31The BFSI sector was the second most popular, extending 99 offers to the students Goldman Sachs was a prominent recruiter in this space with nine offers] General Management roles also attracted significant interest, with 56 offers made by companies like the Adani Group and Tata Administrative Services.This year's placement season involved 178 companies offering 261 different rolesEncouragingly, more than 25 new firms participated, adding to the diverse opportunities available to the students.Out of 406 eligible students, 395 accepted job offers, while a small group of 11 students chose to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams or join their family businessesEven in what has been described as a sluggish year for recruitment, IIM Ahmedabad has not only held its ground but has shown growth in both average and median salaries.
