
Vande Bharat Express: A noteworthy piece of news has emerged regarding rail services in Belgaum, a key city in Karnataka. As per the information, there is an intention to operate a second Vande Bharat Express service from Belgaum to Pune. Currently, there is a Vande Bharat service operating from Belgaem to Hubli and Pune on three days of the week, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Now there are plans to implement a second Vande Bharat service on the same route, which will cover Satara, Sangli, and Miraj. The Railway Department has granted this information as a benefit to the users. Existing Vande Bharat train service (train number 20669/20670) has its origin station Belgaum and start time of 6:55 am, with an arrival in Pune at 1:30 pm, with a stop in Miraj from 9:00 to 9:05 am, Sangli 9:15 to 9:17, and Satara from 10:47 to 10:50. On the return trip the train has a departure from Pune at 2:15 pm, and a scheduled arrival in Hubli at 10:45 pm with stops in Satar 4:37 to 4:40, Sangli at 6:10 to 6:12, and Miraj from 6:40 to 6:45, Belgaum from 8:35 to 8:40. It has come to my attention that the new Vande Bharat train will operate on the same route, although the railways are yet to make public the new train's timetable. In the near future, the railways will make a public announcement regarding the information.Passenger demand and importanceThe Belgaum-Pune rail route holds significant commercial and cultural importance for the states of Karnataka and Maharashtra. The existing Vande Bharat train has received tremendous response from passengers; however, the train only runs for three days a week, leading to public demand for increased service frequency. In such scenarios, the introduction of the new Vande Bharat train is bound to ease the connectivity to Belgaum, Sangli, Miraj, and Satara.This new train will be Vande Bharat’s speed, comfort, and modern facility hallmark train. Vande Bharat trains are synonymous with high speed rail travel, exceptional interiors, and eco-friendly technology.Demand for Belgaum-Bengaluru Vande Bharat service still existsWhilst the commencement of the new Vande Bharat service on Belgaum-Pune route is exciting, the Belgaum-Bangalore Vande Bharat train has been in demand for a considerable time. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav is believed to have sanctioned the operation of the Vande Bharat train on this route. The train is expected to service Yeshwantpur, Tumkur, Davanagere, Howrah, Hubli, and Dharwad. Nonetheless, official word is still pending on the launch of the service.The railway department will announce the information soon.The release of the timetable, pricing information, and other critical details for the new Belgaum-Pune Vande Bharat train is expected soon.
