Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : At least 11 people were taken to a hospital on Friday when ammonia gas started leaking from an ice plant in Munambam, near Kochi in Kerala. Police said that the people reported breath problems when gas started leaking from the plant.The leakage was first detected on Friday afternoon. "We received a complaint about the leak on Friday afternoon," officials said. They added that "local residents informed the police after their neighbours complained of trouble breathing." Police said the fire brigade was immediately called and it controlled the leakage in a short span of time.Victims are in better condition nowIt is reported that locals residing around the plant complained of suffocation. The people were immediately taken to the nearby health center and treated. Police said that the condition of the 11 victims has improved now.
