Angered by this, the accused suddenly pulled out his pistol and fired at Geetanjali. The bullet struck her forehead, causing her to fall to the ground on the spot.Hearing the gunshot, another sister-in-law, Durgeshwari (24), came down from the roof. The accused also fired at her. The bullet hit her in the back, seriously injuring her. Bystanders immediately rushed both sisters to the hospital. Doctors there declared Geetanjali dead, while Durgeshwari succumbed to her injuries during treatment.The accused fled from the spot after the incidentThe incident caused panic in the area.
