Mr. Maurya stated that the food processing sector exported 48 tonnes of liquid glucose from Kanpur to Vietnam

Under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, the Food Processing Department is working to enhance the value of the state’s agricultural produce, thereby creating more employment and business opportunities for farmers, entrepreneurs, and the youth. The export of liquid glucose will provide fresh momentum to this initiative. Liquid glucose is used in the manufacturing of various food products, including bakery items, sweets, confectionery, and beverages. This achievement underscores the export potential of the state’s food processing industry, as well as the strength of its inter-state agricultural supply chain and logistics infrastructure. The ‘double-engine’ government aims to boost farmers' incomes, entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities by providing a global market for local products. Uttar Pradesh is now rapidly moving toward new opportunities in the export of agro-based processed products. On this occasion, Shri B.L. Meena, Chairman of the Board of Revenue and Additional Chief Secretary (Horticulture and Food Processing) for the Government of Uttar Pradesh, flagged off the export consignment. Also present at the event were Smt. Vinita Sudhanshu, General Manager of APEDA; Dr. C.B. Singh, Deputy General Manager; and Shri Tarun Bajaj, Senior Consultant. A consignment of 48 metric tonnes of liquid glucose, produced by Kanpur-based H.L. Agro Products Private Limited, has been dispatched to Vietnam. The shipment will travel from the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Kanpur, via the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), to its final destination. The raw materials for this consignment were sourced from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, while the processing took place at the company’s manufacturing unit in Kanpur.
