After assuming the role of Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan will be resuming his film career with Hari Hara Veera Mallu. As an actor, Kalyan is known to play politically charged roles, leading to speculation that he is in the final phase of his acting career, which is why he is expected to focus now on political responsibilities. This is why the expectation has been so high for Hari Hara Veera Mallu. However, these high expectations do not seem to be translating into box office revenue.Advance Booking for Hari Hara Veera MalluThis week, the advance booking for Hari Hara Veera Mallu opened with a bang. As per reports by Sacnilk, the pre-sales alone breached the ₹20 crore mark in India and ₹10 crore mark overseas a few hours before the film's release. Industry insiders seem to be estimating the final figure for advance booking gross in India to be around ₹30 crore. Furthermore, the film's overseas revenue accounts for ₹16 crore, with 4.5 crore coming in only from North America. This means that the epic film, which has a massive budget of ₹300 crore, is expected to have rund ₹50 crore in advance booking.Hari Hara Veera Mallu Box Office PredictionThe production design of Hari Hara Veera Mallu seems to be based on a pan-India approach due to the star power of Pawan Kalyan in the Telugu states, as well as the inclusion of Bobby Deol to help sell tickets in the North. Still, trade pundits seem to be more excited about a Kalki 2898 AD or Jailer than they are HHVM. Those films have stronger buzz up North, which is essential for a truly pan-India release. Insiders are predicting a ₹40 crore opening for the film in India while more optimistic pundits are saying it could reach ₹50 crore. Should that projection come to fruition, it would indeed be HHVM's Pawan Kalyan's biggest opening, surpassing Vakeel Saab's ₹40.50 crore record. Additionally, the film stands to earn $3 million in the overseas market, bringing the global Day 1 total to ₹70-80 crore. Is it enough though? The primary concern is whether ₹70-80 crore will be enough for Hari Hara Veera Mallu sustained earnings. According to Sacnilk's report, the distribution rights for the film are pegged above ₹100 crore which implies, for recovery, it would need to generate ₹225+ crore worldwide. Breaking even for ₹225 crore would require sustained earnings HHVM is almost certain to open lower than Game Changer. The film had a ₹80 crore worldwide open, but severely struggled to maintain viewership and ended its worldwide run at only ₹186 crores. HHVM's only gameplay for earned revenue is a miracle rise through gangbuster cannot be deemed impossible, but diwali through strong positive word of mouth.
