Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his significant visit to Varanasi on Saturday, attributed the triumphant success of "Operation Sindoor" to the divine blessings of Lord Mahadev. This marked his first visit to the spiritual heartland of Kashi since the culmination of the counter-terror operation, where he stated unequivocally, "The mission succeeded only with Mahadev’s blessings.”Reflecting on the brutal terrorist attack on April 22 in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pahalgam, which tragically claimed 26 lives, the Prime Minister expressed his deep emotional connection to the suffering of the victims' families, particularly their children. Modi shared that he had prayed to Baba Vishwanath for solace for the bereaved and had pledged to the people of Kashi to avenge their pain, metaphorically referring to it as "the sindoor of our daughters." He proudly declared this vow now fulfilled. The Prime Minister also launched a sharp critique against the Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP), condemning their "baseless statements" regarding Operation Sindoor. He asserted that such opposition, characterized by its defense of terrorists, only serves to strengthen the resolve of a "united and self-reliant India."Drawing parallels with the divine, Prime Minister Modi invoked Lord Shiva's dual nature—representing welfare, yet transforming into a fierce entity when confronting terror and injustice. "The world witnessed this fierce form of India during Operation Sindoor," he declared, issuing a stark warning: "Whoever attacks India will not survive—even in hell." He elaborated, "This is a new India—one that worships Bholenath, but turns into Kaal Bhairav when faced with the enemies of the nation."Modi underscored the pivotal role of "the unity of 140 crore Indians" in the operation's success, branding it the "foundation of India’s strength" and a force that ignites "a new consciousness each time." He engaged the crowd, asking if they weren't proud of India's might and the operation's successful execution. He highlighted the precision strikes by Indian drones and missiles that decimated terror hideouts, adding with a touch of bravado that "many of Pakistan’s airbases are still in the ICU.”The Prime Minister directed a scathing attack at the Opposition, stating that some in the country suffer from "stomach ache" over India's success. "The Congress and its allies can’t digest that India destroyed Pakistan’s terror bases. Pakistan’s sorrow is understandable—but why are Congress and SP sharing their grief?” he questioned. He further accused the Congress of disrespecting the armed forces by dismissing Operation Sindoor as a mere 'tamasha'. "Tell me—can sindoor ever be a tamasha? Calling our army’s valour and our daughters’ honour a spectacle is shameful and will not be tolerated," he asserted. His criticism extended to the SP, accusing the party of prioritizing vote bank politics and appeasement. He sarcastically questioned the remarks made by SP leaders in Parliament concerning the timing of the action against the Pahalgam terrorists: “Should I call and ask them—should we kill terrorists or not? Should we wait to eliminate them?” He reminded the audience of the SP’s past tenure, stating the party had a history of "withdrawing cases against those accused in bomb blasts and giving clean chits to terrorists." He concluded this point by noting their opposition to not just the action, but also the name, “Operation Sindoor.”
