Polling in Haryana today for mayor and ward councillors in Panchkula, Ambala and Sonipat

In Haryana, voting will take place on Sunday, May 10th, for the Municipal Corporation elections in Panchkula, Ambala, and Sonipat. The elections are for mayors and ward councilors in all three municipal corporations. Voting will also be held for the presidents and members of all wards in one Municipal Council, Rewari, and three Municipal Committees: Sampla (Rohtak), Dharuhera (Rewari), and Uklana (Hisar).Voting for the municipal elections will take place at designated polling stations from 8 am to 6 pm. The results will be announced on May 13th. The government and administration in all districts and other locations have made elaborate preparations to ensure that no unrest occurs during the voting process. The police department has also strengthened its preparations.Voting will run from 8 am to 6 pmThe following are Ward No. 17 of Municipal Council Tohana (Fatehabad), Ward No. 13 of Municipal Council Jhajjar, Ward No. 11 of Municipal Committee Rajound (Kaithal), Ward No. 8 of Municipal Committee Taraori (Karnal), Ward No. 14 of Municipal Committee Kanina (Mahendragarh), and Ward No. 9 of Municipal Committee Sadhaura (Yamunanagar). Voting for the municipal corporation elections will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at designated polling stations.Paid leave for registered votersThe state government has also issued a notification announcing paid leave on May 10 for registered voters in the respective areas. All Haryana government employees who are registered voters in areas where polling is scheduled will be granted paid leave across all Haryana government offices, boards/corporations, and educational institutions to ensure they can cast their votes.Security will be tight during the polling.The government and administration have made elaborate preparations for the election in all districts and elsewhere. The police department has also strengthened its preparations. Security has been tightened around polling stations. A warning has been issued to take immediate action against those causing disturbance. The police department has implemented extensive security and surveillance measures to ensure that there is no disturbance, disorder, or disruption of law and order during the election process.
