The political atmosphere in Rajasthan has turned electric as Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma launched a stinging verbal attack on his predecessor, Ashok Gehlot. Responding to Gehlot’s ongoing social media series titled 'Intzarshastra' (The Science of Waiting), the CM mocked the veteran Congress leader, suggesting that while he talks about "waiting," he is actually the one waiting for a call from the Delhi high command that never comes. The 'Intzarshastra' vs 'Bhrashtachar-shastra' War For the past few days, Ashok Gehlot has been criticizing the current BJP government through his 'Intzarshastra' posts, highlighting delays in projects like the IPD Tower and Mahatma Gandhi Institute. However, speaking at an event in Jamwa Ramgarh, CM Sharma flipped the script. He told the gathering that the public has already seen Gehlot’s version of "Shastra"—which he labeled as 'Bhrashtachar-shastra' (The Science of Corruption) and 'Jhooth-shastra' (The Science of Lies). He specifically pointed to the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) scam and recruitment paper leaks during the previous Congress regime."We Don't Need Bandages" In a personal jab referencing Gehlot’s past health issues during his tenure, CM Sharma remarked, "We don't catch colds, nor do we need to tie bandages on our legs to show we are working." He defended his frequent visits to Delhi, stating that unlike the previous government, his trips result in developmental packages and increased per capita income for Rajasthan, which has reportedly crossed ₹2 lakh. The "Launching" Jibe The Chief Minister didn't stop at Gehlot. He took a swipe at the central Congress leadership as well, stating that both Sonia Gandhi and Ashok Gehlot have been repeatedly trying to "launch" their sons (Rahul Gandhi and Vaibhav Gehlot), but the result remains "Dhak ke teen paat" (the same old story with no success).Current Standalone With the 2026 political landscape taking shape, Bhajanlal Sharma’s aggressive stance signals that the BJP is ready to confront the Congress’s narrative head-on. He emphasized that the "Double Engine" government is focused on completing projects rather than just talking about them, leaving the opposition to "wait" indefinitely.
