
Speaking with Lily Singh, the YouTuber and talk show host, Richa mentioned her initial apprehensions regarding the possibility of becoming a mother. “I was a bit scared. There’s climate change, there’s genocide, there’s a whole lot of nonsense happening in the world. Is bringing a child into this world a good idea?” she shared her thoughts.As she explained the drastic change from independence to full-time responsibility, she stated, “When you are super independent, that shifts instantly because you are responsible for a human being. To commit to a child’s sole source of nutrition for the first six months at least is a huge task. My initial reaction was panic. I was thinking, is my life over?” Richa’s concern intensified after particular learning she was having a daughter. Somewhere between a joke and a serious thought, she said, “I was like, ‘We live in India, I have to buy a gun.’” Richa’s further explanation on her transforming determination was different in nature. “But then later I was like, ‘No, we will see. We will raise her to be strong like me.’,” she stated. Richa and Ali Fazal have welcomed their daughter, Zuneyra Ida Fazal on July 16, 2024. They shared the news in a joint statement expressing their joy. “We are tickled pink with joy to announce the arrival of a healthy baby girl on 16.07.24! Our families are overjoyed, and we thank our well‑wishers for their love and blessings!,” they said.
