In fact, Salman extended his hand 20 times for Harshali Malhotra to spit on, without hesitation.Manoj said that after watching Salman in that scene, he realized how genuine Salman is, despite being a superstar. Discussing the scene and why it had to be shot, Manoj Bakshi said, "When Munni wanders from Pakistan and ends up in India, Bajrangi brings her home."Why did Salman have to do this?She gets excited when she sees non-veg. So, all this had to be done for the scene in the film where Munni is eating chicken with great gusto. For this scene, director Kabir Khan instructed Munni, Harshali Malhotra, to chew the non-veg while looking at the camera. According to Manoj Bakshi, sometimes a large piece of non-veg would end up in Harshali's mouth, which she couldn't chew, leaving her mouth full.So that Harshaali wouldn't have to repeatedly leave the scene to spit, Salman extended his hand and said, "Spit, son."
