PGI officials and employees celebrated Savitribai Phule's birth anniversary on Saturday. In the function, the institute's director Dr. RK Dhiman, CMS Dr. Devendra Gupta and medical superintendent Dr. Rajesh Harshvardhan shared information about Savitribai's struggle. Everyone remembered Savitribai's life struggle from awakening the spirit of education to removing social equality and inequality and her struggles. PGI Nursing Staff Association president Lata Sachan said that Savitribai Phule has played an important role in promoting women empowerment. A book based on her biography was gifted to all those present at the function.
