Haridwar. The railway is replacing traditional ICF coaches with state-of-the-art LHB coaches. Train numbers 14717 and 14718 on the Bikaner-Haridwar-Bikaner rail service have now been equipped with Linke Hoffman Bush coaches, making the journey comfortable for passengers.Train No. 14717 Bikaner-Haridwar Express will operate from Bikaner starting January 19, while the 14718 Haridwar-Bikaner Express will operate from Haridwar starting January 20 with LHB coaches. This 16-coach train includes three third AC coaches, six sleeper coaches, five general coaches, one power car, and one guard's coach.While installation of LHB coaches in Bikaner-Haridwar-Bikaner train will help in increasing the speed of the train service, it is also better from the safety point of view.Main characteristicsSafety: Anti-telescopic design (non-overlapping) and stainless steel construction, making them lighter and stronger than steel. Increases passenger safety in the event of an accident.Comfort: These have a better coupling system, which reduces shock and provides a comfortable ride.Speed: These can reach speeds of up to 160 kmph, while the older ICF (Integral Coach Factory) coaches can run at 140 kmph.Production: Initially imported from Germany, now manufactured at the Kapurthala Rail Coach Factory in India.The railway administration is taking special care to ensure passenger convenience and safety. Train numbers 14717 and 14718, the Bikaner-Haridwar-Bikaner train service, will operate with LHB rakes from Bikaner starting January 19th and from Haridwar starting January 20th. Soon, the Mussoorie Express will also operate with LHB rakes.
