Uttar Pradesh Government To Establish Panchayat Resource Centers In 413 Blocks For Grassroots Training

The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a significant step towards strengthening rural governance by deciding to establish Panchayat Resource Centers in four hundred thirteen development blocks across the state This initiative serves as a major boost for the Panchayati Raj system as it aims to provide accessible training and technical support to Gram Pradhans and other elected representatives closer to their constituencies Currently the lack of such facilities in many districts forces village heads to travel long distances to district headquarters for essential guidance and skill development workshops which creates logistical challenges especially for female representatives By decentralizing the training infrastructure the state administration ensures that local leaders can easily access necessary resources and knowledge to administer their villages effectively The new resource centers will be developed under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan and will be equipped with modern digital tools including computers to facilitate the monitoring of various development schemes at the grassroots level. The Panchayati Raj Department plans to utilize these hubs not just for training but also for data management and keeping track of the implementation of public welfare projects This move addresses a long standing gap in the administrative framework and reflects the commitment of the state government to empower grassroots democracy by ensuring that the machinery for rural development operates with greater efficiency and transparency
