Uttar Pradesh Police Book Ex BJP Legislator and Associates in High Profile House Grabbing Case Following Chief Minister Intervention
The Uttar Pradesh administration has once again demonstrated its zero tolerance policy towards land mafia and illegal property seizures with the registration of a serious criminal case against a former ruling party legislator in the Kaushambi district. The local police acted swiftly on Tuesday to book Sanjay Kumar Gupta the former Member of Legislative Assembly representing the Chail constituency along with six other individuals after specific directives were issued from the Chief Minister's office. This police action stems from a harrowing complaint lodged by an elderly widow who managed to present her grievance directly to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during a Janta Darshan session in Lucknow recounting years of harassment and the forceful usurpation of her home. The complainant identified as seventy three year old Rajdulari approached the highest authorities in the state claiming that the former lawmaker and his associates including the former Nagar Panchayat Chairman Kailash Chand Kesarwani had conspired to grab her residential property located in a prime market area. Her testimony reveals a disturbing plot where the accused allegedly fabricated documents to show her husband died much earlier than he actually did in order to manipulate inheritance records and facilitate the transfer of the property known locally as the old hospital. The elderly woman stated that she had been running from pillar to post seeking justice but was continuously intimidated by the political clout of the accused forcing her family to live in fear and eventual displacement.Following the registration of the First Information Report at the Kokhraj police station investigators have begun probing the validity of the property documents and the alleged forgery used to displace the rightful owners. The charges include cheating forgery and criminal conspiracy highlighting the severity of the accusations levied against the high profile political figure. Meanwhile the former MLA has categorically dismissed the allegations describing the entire legal maneuver as a smear campaign orchestrated by his political rivals to tarnish his image. He maintains that the issue is essentially a domestic partition dispute among family members in which he has no personal stake or benefit however the police are now proceeding with a thorough investigation based on the stern orders received from the state capital to resolve the grievances of the senior citizen.
