The State Election Commission of Uttar Pradesh has announced the schedule for the final publication of the voter list for the upcoming Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections from local authority constituencies. Following the recent conclusion of the panchayat elections, the final electoral roll for the MLC polls is set to be released on January 25.The process of preparing the updated voter list will commence with the publication of the draft electoral roll on December 26, 2025. Following this, citizens will have until January 2, 2026, to file their claims and objections regarding the draft list. The period for resolving these claims and objections is scheduled fromJanuary 3 to January 11, 2026.After all claims and objections have been addressed, the process of preparing and printing the supplementary voter lists will take place from January 12 to January 24. The comprehensive and final voter list will then be officially published on January 25, 2026. This announcementsets the stage for the MLC elections, which will follow the timeline established by the Election Commission of India. Special Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Mushtaq Ahmed, has issued a notification detailing this schedule.
