Vivo's New Y400 Pro Hits India, Blending a Premium Curved Display with a Mid-Range Price

Vivo is aiming to capture the competitive mid-range smartphone market in India with the launch of its new Y400 Pro. Now available for purchase, the device packs a surprising number of high-end features—most notably a premium curved display and 4K video recording—into an accessible price tag of ₹21,999.The standout feature of the Y400 Pro is its large 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display. This type of screen, which curves elegantly at the edges, is typically found on more expensive flagship phones and provides a more immersive viewing experience. It also boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring silky-smooth scrolling and a more responsive feel during gaming and daily use.Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM for smoother multitasking. For photography, it features a dual-camera setup led by a 64MP main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a crucial feature that helps reduce blur from shaky hands for sharper photos and more stable videos. In a significant move for its price point, the camera is also capable of recording video in 4K resolution. A 16MP front-facing camera handles selfies.Keeping the device running is a robust 5,000 mAh battery, supported by Vivo's 44W FlashCharge technology for quick power-ups. The phone runs on the latest Funtouch OS 14, based on Android 14, and includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The Vivo Y400 Pro is available in two stylish finishes: a unique EcoFiber Leather Green and a classic Dreamy White. To entice early buyers, Vivo is offering launch promotions, including up to ₹2,500 in instant discounts for HDFC, SBI, and ICICI bank cardholders. The phone is available for purchase on Vivo's official e-store, as well as on major platforms like Amazon and Flipkart.
