During his show, Himanshu Jangra, web-developer from Gurugram, narrated an experience of a date with a girl, where he had spent 370 on chicken biryani and was expecting something more out of it. During his narration, the comedian and audience on his show went laughing after listening to man's lewd remark. Praneet also sat with a thrill and laughed during his narration and once video of it got viral, question rose whether is it a comedy or a vulgarity.Celebs also reacted with angerAll over the internet, discussions about women safety were seen. While, some netizens severely slammed Praneet and Himanshu, many celebrities including- Rashmi Desai, Mallika Dua, Kusha Kapila, Ayesha Khan, Elvish Yadav and Dolly Singh also stood up to criticize the comedian and his remarks. The apologize by Praneet however did not help him or Himanshu who also lost his job after the incident.Social media split into two piecesAs of now, while some people are slamming the issue, others are trying to defend the "370 Rupees Biryani" issue. While reacting to Himanshu's remarks, a video of a woman, Sejal Pawar from Pranit More's comedy show also surfaced, who is a doctor by profession, and had passed a derogatory comment about dead bodies in Pranit More's comedy show. Since then, the comparison has been made on both the incident.Women commission increased the difficultyThe issue is not limited to just social media anymore, National commission for women has also registered the matter and have summoned both the comedian Praneet More and Himanshu Jangra related to it, they also urged Haryana Police to take appropriate action, the commission mentioned, that the video had offensive material which promote coercive behaviour and thus is against women safety.FIR was also lodged in MaharashtraAlong with the National commission of women, Maharashtra Cyber Cell also has lodged an FIR against the comedian Praneet, Himanshu, and others over vulgar content and creating public nuisance.Critics questioned on comedy"what should be the limitations of comedy?" is one of the main issues currently, as critics suggest that when it comes to gender, there is no such thing as a "harmless" joke or entertainment, whereas those who talk about freedom of speech say, comedy is not meant to be restrained in such a way.
