Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : There were two seats for the Rajya Sabha in Jharkhand, and their results have come out. Baidyanath Ram of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha got one seat, while NDA-backed independent candidate Parimal Nathwani got the second. The most surprising thing is that all the MLAs of the 'India Alliance' were 56 in the Jharkhand Assembly. Only 28 votes were needed to get one seat. The Alliance could have won both seats easily, but cross-voting spoiled the Congress candidate’s victory. The Congress party states that all 16 MLAs of its party fully supported the candidate and voted for it, but four JMM MLAs also voted for Congress, and then other partners betrayed them. Happy NDA The NDA has a total of 24 MLAs, but Nathwani received 28 votes. The BJP stated that the MLAs voted in accordance with their conscience.Jharkhand BJP president Aditya Sahu described it as a significant victory and said that some 'India' Bloc MLAs also expressed faith in the Modi government’s work. Congress’s Statement State Congress minister Deepika Pandey Singh has alleged that the BJP used money power and indulged in horse trading in the election. Simultaneously, Jharkhand Congress in-charge Raju directly blamed RJD and CPI(ML)L MLA for not voting for Congress candidate Pranav Jha. Who is Parimal Nathwani? Parimal Nathwani has been a two-time Rajya Sabha member from Jharkhand between 2008 and 2020. Opposition leader Babulal Marandi said people were happy with the work done by Nathwani and that is why he was given another chance.
