Not only that, the girl's father has also filed serious charges against the husband of having illicit relations with another woman. Further, taking action on the same complaint, a police investigation is on. The marriage of Ritu and Sanjay took place about 2 years back. The deceased's father Hawa Singh, resident of Tijara (Alwar), Rajasthan, lodged a complaint with the police stating that he had married his youngest daughter, Ritu, to Sanjay, resident of Gandhi Colony, Samalkha, 2 years back; Sanjay is currently posted as SI in BSF and his place of posting is West Bengal. The victim was mentally and physically abused for these reasons alone. The complaint also mentions that Sanjay is having an extramarital affair. Hawa Singh alleged that "Sanjay is having relations with another woman, and this is why Sanjay never took Ritu along to West Bengal. Ritu had seen chats and photographs of the woman in Sanjay's mobile. She had complained about this to Sanjay on which he beat her and Ritu tearfully narrated it all to her family. When they talked to Sanjay, they did not pay heed". The married couple argued over phone on 30th May. The said Hawa Singh stated in the complaint that, "On the morning of 30 May, there was an argument between husband and wife over the phone and it is alleged that Ritu, unable to bear the mental torture, committed suicide by hanging herself in the room of the house. When Ritu's mother-in-law Krishna and sister-in-law arrived after attending religious function nearby around 1 pm and saw that her 11-month-old child alone and after picking up the baby and looking around, when both came in the room, then Ritu's body was hanging. The said Ritu's husband, a BSF SI, came to Panipat on May 28 from where he boarded a train to West Bengal on May 29, and hearing the news of his wife's suicide on May 30, he flew to Panipat the next morning.
