Yogi Adityanath Announces Pay Hike and Smartphones for Anganwadi Workers

In a significant announcement on Vishwakarma Jayanti, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared some good news for the state's Anganwadi workers. He declared a substantial increase in their monthly honorarium and confirmed that they will soon be equipped with smartphones to improve their work efficiency.The Chief Minister revealed that the honorarium for Anganwadi workers will be raised by₹1,500 per month. Following this hike, workers in the main centers will now receive₹10,000 a month, while those at mini Anganwadi centers will get₹8,500. Additionally, the monthly honorarium for Anganwadi helpers will be increased by ₹750, bringing their total to₹5,250.This decision is set to benefit a large number of Anganwadi workers and helpers across the state who play a crucial role in implementing various government health and nutrition schemes at the grassroots level.Beyond the pay increase, CM Adityanath also addressed the need for better resources. He announced that all Anganwadi workers will be provided with smartphones. This move is intended to help them with their daily tasks, such as data collection and monitoring the health of women and children, making their work more streamlined and effective.The announcement was made during a state-level event celebrating Vishwakarma Jayanti, where the Chief Minister honored artisans and craftsmen. He emphasized his government's commitment to supporting workers from all sectors and ensuring they receive the recognition and resources they deserve.
