It appears that being crowned Miss India is a common stepping stone for contestants seeking to join Bollywood especially doing modeling or even going into business. However, winning the title does push them quite a notch in their career endeavors. On the other hand, the list of former winners is not just made up of women who went on to become highly publicized. Aditi Arya Kotak, who was crowned Femina Miss India in 2015 is one of them. The 31-year-old beauty queen also represented India in the Miss World 2015 pageant that took place in China.
Currently, Aditi is an active participant in the mentorship platform Alum-n-i, a site she co-founded in a bid to ensure students get a new outlook towards Global Education. Then she went on to star in the 36 episode Hindi web series ‘Tantra’, but Aditi had a breakthrough in her Bollywood career with the 2021 sports drama ‘83’, aimed at encapsulating the Indian cricket fans on how ‘India’ won the ‘World Cup’ in 1983. This was the last film she made prior to her relocation to the US in 2021 when she set sights on pursuing an MBA at Yale and graduated in May 2023 after earning the degree.
In 2024 Aditi became a co-founder of Alum-n-i, to further assist aspiring students in their pursuit to reach out for an international education. She married Jay Kotak, son of the Indian billionaire banker Uday Kotak who is worth $13 billion. Aditi was born in Chandigarh but later relocated in Gurugram. While persisting to be a pageant, she served as a research analyst in Ernst and Young. Between the years of 2011 -2014, Aditi studied at Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies in New Delhi, obtaining a business degree.
