Israel-Iran Conflict: Tension persists in the Middle East due to the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. First Iran fired missiles at Israel, then Israel also attacked in retaliation. After which America also warned Iran not to take any retaliatory action. Now Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has threatened Israel and America.

Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei has said that Israel and the US will receive a "strong response" for their actions against Iran and the Resistance Front. Addressing students in Tehran on Saturday, Khamenei warned that Israel and its main supporter, the US, will be punished for attacks on Iran and the Resistance Front in West Asia.

'They will get an answer they will remember'

He said, 'The enemies will definitely get an answer that they will remember.' Khamenei also pointed to the US and its allies and said that Iran is fully prepared to counter the "global arrogance" with military, political, and other means.

What else did Khamenei say?

He also called on the Iranian people to fight without hesitation against global arrogance. Referring to recent Israeli attacks on Gaza and Lebanon, Khamenei said US support for these attacks exposed the “double policy” of US human rights claims.

Israel retaliated against Iran.

Last week, the Israel Defense Forces announced that they had carried out "precise and targeted" airstrikes in Iran in response to recent attacks by Iran. Iran's air defense headquarters said they effectively countered these Israeli attacks and suffered only limited damage.

Iran fired missiles on October 1

Iran and Israel have a long-standing animosity, which escalated after Hamas attacks and Israel's assault on Gaza on October 7 last year. Israel has fought against Hezbollah in south Lebanon, and a recent cross-border attack on the central Israeli city of Tira wounded 19 people. Khamenei's remarks come a week after Israel's recent attacks, which were in response to Iran's missile attack on October 1.

42 Palestinians killed in Gaza

Meanwhile, Israeli air and artillery attacks targeted the Nusserat refugee camp in the central part of the Gaza Strip, killing at least 42 Palestinians and injuring more than 150. According to Palestinian security sources, the Israeli army has launched air and artillery attacks on houses in Nusserat since Friday morning.

Israel has launched a large-scale operation in the Gaza Strip in response to the attack by Hamas from Gaza on 7 October 2023. About 1,200 people were killed in that attack and about 250 people were taken hostage. According to the Gaza Health Authority, the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks has risen to 43,314.
