New Delhi: PM Modi Birthday Gift-PM Narendra Modi is celebrating his 74th birthday today. This occasion is going to be very special for the women of the state because a new scheme is being started for them. Under this scheme, women will get 10 thousand rupees in a year.

Let us tell you that the Odisha Government is going to launch the Subhadra Yojana on September 17. In this way, a total of 10 thousand rupees will be deposited in the accounts of women in a year. This amount will be deposited twice a year in the amount of five thousand rupees each. This amount will come for the first time on Women's Day i.e. on March 8 and the second time on the festival of Raksha Bandhan. At the same time, the benefit of this scheme will be available for a total of five years. That is, every woman will get an amount of 50 thousand rupees. Subhadra Debit Card will also be issued for this scheme. This money will come only in the Aadhaar-linked bank account.

How did the scheme get its name?

According to the story of Mahabharata, Krishna's sister was Subhadra, who later became Arjun's wife. Her son was Abhimanyu who attained martyrdom in Kurukshetra. This scheme has been named Subhadra Yojana after the name of Goddess Subhadra. In Odisha, Krishna is worshipped as Lord Jagannath.

Know which women will get the benefit

-The age of the woman should be between 21 and 60 years
-It is mandatory to be a native of Odisha
-The woman should have a ration card
-The total income of the family should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh
-Women who are paying income tax will not be eligible for the scheme
-Women who are getting more than Rs 1.5 thousand every month through other government schemes will also be ineligible

What eligible women have to do

To avail of the benefits of Subhadra Yojana, women can apply both online and offline. For offline applications, one has to contact the bank, post office, and common service center. For online applications, one has to log in to the Subhadra portal. The Odisha government has set a budget of Rs 55825 crore for this scheme for the next five years.
