Bears and lions have been sent to North Korea by Russia. According to reports, Russia has sent a total of more than 70 animals to North Korea. These include an African lion, two brown bears, and 45 pheasants.

Russia has sent these gifts to North Korea as relations between the two countries have strengthened during the Ukraine war. Recently, North Korea had sent 10,000 soldiers to help the Russian army.

According to an HT report, Russian Natural Resources Minister Alexander Kozlov oversaw the entire operation of sending the animals. These animals were taken to Pyongyang Central Zoo in North Korea by air along with veterinarians from Moscow Zoo.

Earlier, Putin had gifted 24 purebred horses to North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong Un. In return, Putin received two North Korean doggies.
