Indian women's cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah on Friday unveiled the team's new ODI jersey at the board headquarters here. The women's team will wear the new jersey during the three-match ODI series against the West Indies to be played in Vadodara from December 22.
Harmanpreet said that it is an honor to unveil the jersey and it is really a pleasure that we are the first team to wear this jersey against the West Indies team. I liked this jersey very much and it is really a matter of joy that we have got a special jersey for ODI.
Before the home series against West Indies, the Harmanpreet-led Indian team will tour Australia where it will play a three-match ODI series from December 5 to 11.
Harmanpreet said that wearing the Indian team jersey is always special because it takes a lot of hard work to achieve it. She further said that I want Indian fans to also feel proud by wearing this jersey.
India will wear this jersey in the Champions Trophy
The Indian women's team will not wear this jersey in the ODI series against Australia. After this series, the West Indies team will tour India. Team India will be seen in a different look in this tour.
India and West Indies will play 3 ODIs and the same number of T20 matches on this tour. India's men's team will wear this new jersey in the ODI and T20 series against England. India will wear the same jersey in the Champions Trophy.
