India vs Australia 2nd Test Highlights:  The Indian team has faced defeat in the second match of the 5-Test series against Australia. The Kangaroo team defeated it by 10 wickets. On the third day of the match on Sunday (8 December), India was all out for 175 runs in its second innings. After this, Australia got a target of 19 runs to win. It won the match by scoring 22 runs without losing any wickets in the second innings. Earlier, India had scored 180 runs in the first innings and Australia had scored 337 runs. The victory of the Kangaroo team has brought the series to a 1-1 draw. India had won the first Test match in Perth.

The joy of victory did not last long.

Team India had achieved a spectacular victory against Australia 14 days ago. After losing the series 0-3 against New Zealand at home, it made a spectacular comeback and defeated the Kangaroo team in the very first match. The joy of the victory on November 25 did not last long and India had to face defeat in Adelaide. 

Second consecutive defeat in Adelaide

India has lost a Test match in Australia after 47 months. It was last defeated in Adelaide in December 2020. Then the Kangaroos won a tremendous victory in the day-night Test. Even India was all out for 36 runs in the second innings of that match. The losing streak in Adelaide did not stop. This time too Team India could not win the day-night Test there. India's last victory on this ground was in December 2018.

India's first innings: Team India was all out for 180 runs in the first innings. Nitish Reddy scored the highest 42 runs, KL Rahul 37, Shubman Gill 31, Ravichandran Ashwin ,22, and Rishabh Pant was out after scoring 21 runs. Virat Kohli could score only 7 runs and Rohit Sharma 3 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal could not open the account. Mitchell Starc took 6 wickets for Australia. Pat Cummins and Scott Boland got 2-2 wickets.

Australia's first innings: After this, Australia scored 337 runs in their first innings. They got a lead of 157 runs. Travis Head scored the highest 140 runs for them. Marnush Labuschagne scored 64 and Nathan McSweeney scored 39 runs. For India, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj took 4-4 wickets. Nitish Reddy and Ashwin got 1-1 success.

India's second innings: After falling behind by 157 runs, Team India somehow managed to reach 175 runs in their second innings. In these second rounds, they got a lead of only 18 runs. For India, Nitish Reddy scored 42, Rishabh Pant scored 28, Shubman Gill scored 28 and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 24 runs. Virat Kohli got out after scoring 11 runs, KL Rahul 7 and Rohit Sharma 6 runs. For Australia, Pat Cummins took 5 wickets, Scott Boland took 3 and Mitchell Starc took 2 wickets.

Australia's second innings: Australia easily achieved the target of 19 runs given by India. Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney together scored 22 runs and led the team to victory. Khawaja remained unbeaten on 12 and McSweeney on 10.
